Managing Preppy from the console

Once a tablet is paired, its content is yours to manage from anywhere. Open the Devices page at app.pizzabot.io, find the tablet, and tap Manage Preppy. You get a simulation of the tablet at its real screen size, editors for everything on it, and a Review & send button.

The page header shows the store, the tablet’s health, and its Preppy version, with Refresh from tablet, Undo, Redo, Discard, and Review & send with a count of pending changes.

The tabs:

  • Presets. The hold-time cards: add, remove, rename, and reorder them.
  • Items. Quick items with their shelf life per template (IX, OX, UX), their categories, and the item bundles.
  • Packs. Apply an item pack to this tablet. See Item packs.
  • Settings. The date rules (day-first counting, cutoff, rounding, EOD substitution) and the store’s manager PIN. The PIN saves immediately and protects the Labels, Date & Time, Updates, and Connect tabs on every tablet in the store.
  • Labels. The label layout editor: drag and nudge the elements of the label, see the raw printer code, and keep one layout for all templates.

The simulation below the editors shows the tablet exactly as the crew will see it. Tap a card to select it, and tap a print button to see the quantity page.

Review & send lists the changes grouped by what they touch. Choose This tablet only or All Preppy tablets at this store when the store has more than one, add a note if you like, and send. An online tablet applies the bundle within about twenty seconds, and the page waits for its Applied on the tablet confirmation. An offline tablet applies it at its next check-in.

The page keeps a Sent to this tablet history. If someone edited presets or items on the tablet since the console last read it, a drift warning appears; Refresh from tablet pulls the tablet’s current content in so you can decide what to keep before sending.

Sending replaces the tablet’s presets, items, bundles, layout, and date rules with what the console holds. Printer, appearance, and Wi-Fi settings stay on the tablet.

The Packs page is a library of quick item sets.

  • PizzaBot packs are maintained by us. The Shelf Life Guide pack has the standard items, categories, and shelf lives per template, and is the quickest way to give a new tablet a full item list.
  • Your packs are your franchise’s own. Owners and managers publish versions and can delete a pack.

Each pack shows a fleet table: every tablet, whether it has the current version, an older one, or none, and its health. Send to N tablets pushes the pack to all of them at once, and you can also apply a pack to one tablet from the studio’s Packs tab. Packs carry items, categories, and bundles. Presets are tablet settings and stay in the studio.

Owners and managers. Viewers can open the studio and look, but not send.
