Hardware guide

Every In-Store product runs on cheap, replaceable consumer hardware. Bring your own, or order a kit that arrives configured for your store.

Part Bring your own In the kit
Tablet Any Windows 10 or 11 tablet, 10 inch, 1280 by 800 or better 10 inch Windows tablet with wall or counter mount
Printer Zebra direct thermal label printer (USB or network) Zebra desktop label printer, USB
Labels Your current label stock One case to start

Preppy also runs on Raspberry Pi and other Linux devices with a touchscreen. Ask if you have existing hardware you want to reuse.

One 10 inch Windows tablet (1280 by 800; 1920 by 1080 supported) mounted outside the walk-in door. Budget under $250. The tablet runs everything locally, so no other equipment is required.

A fanless mini PC (Intel N100 class) or Raspberry Pi 5 with one or two HDMI TVs. Runs fully offline in kiosk mode. A wired or wireless keypad on the line is the only control.

Kits ship preconfigured with your store name and settings. Plug in power, connect Wi-Fi in settings, and go. Kit pricing is quoted per order; see pricing.

Devices are not special. If one dies, install the app on a replacement, sign in with your store code, and settings restore from the last backup.
